Terms and Conditions

 

STANDARD TERMS AND CONDITIONS: Effective August 3, 2016 and applicable to all purchases. This supersedes any prior terms and conditions. Due to the volatile materials and metals marketplace, terms, conditions, prices and specifications are subject to change without notice. Always consult factory for most current pricing and specifications.

 

FULL GRAIN LEATHER: Top of the hide; considered stronger, resists cracking and provides longer wearing leather. Has natural grain or light correction. Considered the best part of the hide.

 

SPLIT/PIN GRAIN LEATHER: Under portion of the animals’ hide. This is usually split in two or more thicknesses and a synthetic leather like surface is applied. Considered genuine leather.

 

BONDED LEATHER: Composed of 100% leather fibers which are bonded together with a binder and then a surface is applied. The result is a genuine leather product at a reduced price.

 

PRICING: All catalog items unless otherwise stated are priced with a discount code of “AABCC” for listed quantity listed and are always subject to change without notice. We will not assume responsible for typographical errors and other errata. We will try our best to please you; however, your understanding in this matter is appreciated. Please enquire before quoting.

 

COUNTRY OF ORIGIN: We are proudly an American manufacturer. Our items are cut, assembled and printed in our Florida facility by our handcrafters. Our leather is typically made in USA. Other raw materials and subcomponents are typically of foreign origin. We also carry the highest quality imported _at articles (wallets, portfolios, luggage tags, etc.) and leather bags from our Chinese and Columbian factories respectively. These are well labeled and identified in our catalog.

 

UNION MANUFACTURE: Our union labeled and/or USA made product is produced by us under our UFCW collective bargaining agreement. We believe that in most cases we provide the most cost effective products in the world because we can modify designs as required, accommodate special materials requests, and provide 15 days lead time on most catalog quantities versus 90 to 120 days from Asia. We produce STUNNING print or embroidery on just about any article no matter how complex it is because we decorate the material before we assemble it. Buy American, buy Union. We are a UFCW Local 1625 afiliated manufacturer and are licensed to supply our USA made product with a union label or “bug.” Typically, we will include the union bug in the imprint die or the embroidery. Where a union bug is requested, please indicate this clearly in your purchase.

Please understand that where a major component such as a vacuum travel bottle or watch is combined with our cut, sewn and printed leather or vinyl wrap, fob, etc., we will indicate the major component’s country of origin on the Sales Order Acknowledgment. You will be required to do the same on your purchase order. Together, we can all protect domestic

manufacturing.column pricing and any applicable die/artwork charges.

 

ARTWORK: Please supply black and white camera ready vector art suitable for imprinting. We are happy to help with reductions and enlargements at 15.00(G) or any other artwork modifications such as color fiattening or font changes for $65.00(G) an hour. There is a minimum 30 minute charge on any modifications.

 

ARTWORK TRANSMISSION: Save time by reaching us at artwork@winstonleather.com. We can process artwork in CorelDraw, Adobe, or EPS.

Bitmapped artwork must be black & white, 600 DPI, no gray scale, shades or color. We operate in a PC environment. We are more than happy to recreate your artwork in vector form or create it from drawings. Please consult factory for pricing. Kindly put your company name and purchase order number in the subject field and include any special instructions in the body.

 

METHOD OF IMPRINT: D/Emboss: All prices shown include a single impression. For color fill, second color, or location, add $0.75G) each. Hot Stamp: Hot foil stamping is available in hundreds of colors and foils. The first position is $0.50(G) for most foils. For each additional position, add $0.75(G). Up to 3 colors may be printed. Colorfill-Deboss: Add $0.75(G) to prices shown.

Embroidery: Please consult factory for run charge and setup/tape charges.

 

IMPRINT DIE: Hot Stamp, D/Emboss Dies: $98.50 (G) for each different impression or color (including a second die for colorfill) is required for all orders. Oversize dies larger than 4"x5" are $170.65 (G) Embroidery: Tapes created for garments are not compatible with leather and must be recreated.

 

PERSONALIZATION: Debossed individual names or initials $12.10 (G). We can use all computerized fonts and symbols. We also provide hotfoil personalization at $12.90 (G). Personalization exceeding 1/2” x 2” priced higher.

 

PROOFS: Email/Paper Proof: It is strongly recommended that you purchase electronic proof for $10.50(G). Regretfully, we cannot be held liable for customer supplied artwork errors or where proof approval has been obtained yet errors persist.

Swatch Proof: Hot stamped, d/embossed $31.25(G) plus die charge where applicable.

Colorfill-Deboss : $30.00(G) per imprint plus applicable die charges.

Embroidered: $40.00(G) plus cost of tape if applicable.

Product Proof: Hot stamped, D/Embossed, Colorfilled-Deboss: $30.00(G) for coasters, key fobs, bookmarks, and luggage tags plus cost of item at first column pricing and any applicable die/artwork charges. Any other items are $84.55(G) plus cost item at first column pricing and any applicable die/artwork charges.

Embroidered:$45.00(G) and item at first column pricing and any applicable tape charges.

 

HAND SAMPLES: Our design capabilities are the best in the industry and proudly Made in the USA. Hand sample pricing begins at $62.50 (G) for keyfobs, coasters, luggage tags and bookmarks, $125.00(G) for portfolios and binders to $625.00 (G) for purses, and luggage items. Give us a call for your custom design.

 

REPEAT ORDERS: A re-setup charge of $22.65 (G) on orders received within four years of original order. We do not maintain immediate access to dies older than 4 years from last use. We have also dramatically improved the quality of our dies. Thus, dies older than eight years may not be adequate. If we can help you out by locating a die older than four years in our archive, we are glad to pass the savings on to you. Please remember, though, any changes in artwork or imprint

copy from previous order requires a new die and charges will apply.

 

LESS THAN MINIMUM: Unless otherwise specified, add $78.75 (G) to first column pricing and may not be available for all items.

 

GUARANTEE: We care about the quality of our products and our customer's satisfaction. Our products are covered by a limited one-year warranty from the date of shipment. All warranty claims must be made within 1 year of delivery. This guarantee covers defects in material and/or workmanship only. It does not cover damage due to accidents, normal wear and tear or abuse including obvious abuse and/or mechanical testing by recipient.

 

A returned materials authorization (RMA) number must be obtained. We reject all unsolicited packages including unauthorized product returns. We will evaluate and approve or reject the claim within 48 hours of receipt of a sample of article under question. Merchandise must be kept secure pending inspection or return approval. We reserve the right to rework or replace defective merchandise. We reserv the right to reject any shipment that does not have a valid RMA number prominently displayed on box.This limited warranty recognizes specific legal rights that vary from state to state.

 

PRODUCTION TIME: Standard production on all catalog leather and vinyl items is 20 business days after proof and credit approval. Please add 35% for expedited orders.

 

UNIMPRINTED ITEMS: Up to 10 working days from receipt of order.

 

RUSH ORDERS: 3 day service is generally available from the time artwork and credit is approved. Please add 100% for rush orders.

 

CUSTOM ORDERS: More than 50% of our business is for custom product. We are simply the best in the USA for making custom products. Please fax or

email your custom quote request.

 

SPLIT SHIPMENT/DROP SHIPMENT: Shipments to more than one destination. There is a charge of $10.50(G) for each location after the first.

 

SHIPPING AND HANDLING CHARGES: We include and charge insurance with all UPS and FedEx shipments. There is a at rate of $5.00(G) to $7.50(G) per carton handling charge irrespective of service type or billing method. Pallets/LTL shipments require a $25.00(G) preparation fee. Foreign shipments require a $25.00 (G) paperwork preparation fee.

Winston Manufacturing will not be responsible for product loss once product leaves the plant. All claims must be made with the carrier. Please inspect articles upon receipt and make claims accordingly. We are happy to help you file your claim provided that appropriate evidence is supplied so that we may make claim.

 

ORDER CHANGES: We are pleased to accommodate changes in requirements. If the customer requires a change, there will be a $14.65 (G) charge to re-acknowledge the order. The factory will not be responsible for changes to original purchase order unless confirmed in writing. Winston Manufacturing does not accept nor is responsible for verbal changes. Time and materials will be charged for any cancellations of orders or modification to original PO and/or approved designs or decorating.

 

COMBINED QUANTITY: Applies to all stock items with the same imprint. Minimum quantities for each items must be met, and all items must appear on the same purchase order for shipment on the same date to same location.

 

ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF ORDERS: Customer Purchase Orders are _rm contracts and cannot be canceled by customer except upon written agreement from the factory. Winston’s terms and conditions always apply to orders and cannot be superseded by customer’s terms. We will provide a written sales acknowledgment which clearly stipulates our commitments to the customer’s purchase order. Where proof approval is required, a “best faith effort” to resolve any discrepancies is required by Customer. A PO cannot be canceled. If the order is in production, costs will be billed on the basis of amount of labor and materials affected. Winston may cancel any order for any reason and provide a complete refund to the customer if this occurs.

PAYMENT TERMS: Net 30 days with credit approval. We accept Checks, PayPal, Visa, Mastercard and ACH payments. If terms are extended, payment must be made by check otherwise transaction fees may apply.

 

LEATHER AND MATERIALS: Leather has always been a symbol of quality, dignity, and refined style. Since leather is nature’s product, each hide has different grains, characteristics, and characteristics. These blemishes and slight irregularities are what give leather its beauty and distinguish it from man-made materials. Therefore, leather may vary in shade, feel and thickness from item to item and Winston will not be responsible for these variations. Also, we have extremely rigorous standards for cutting our leather and remove all relevant defects. We do not accept returns based on these leather characteristics which include blemishes, grain and color variation.

 

OVER/UNDER RUNS: We reserve the right to under or over ship up to 5% and bill accordingly. A 10% surcharge may be applied for exact quantities and must be explicitly requested in purchase order. If overruns are prohibited by customer, this must be clearly stated on purchase order. We will not credit for overruns due to this omission.

 

MARKETPLACE: Prices in this catalog many not be current and are subject to change without notice. Contact factory for current pricing. All orders subject to availability of materials. All material is subject to prior sale. We shall not be responsible for inability to ship any order due to material shortages or matters beyond our control. Nor shall we bear any liability for consequences arising from this inability whether caused by Winston Manufacturing or any other party. Specifications and product form may change without notice. Items pictured in catalog may not be exactly as they are received by the customer.

 

ARTWORK: Trademarks and logos shown in the catalog are used to demonstrate imprinting techniques and locations only and do not constitute endorsement by respective owners. The Customer represents that use of copy/artwork supplied for all orders and/or supplied designs does not violate property rights nor contractual agreements related thereof and is in compliance with all applicable laws.
